Bardene's chair
Black walls, good clippers and barbers who take the time to get the line right. We are in Pepper Square on Oosthuizen Road in Bardene, three minutes off the R21, with parking at the door. Two more shops open this year: Itonka Mall in Springs on 26 September, and the new mall opposite Dawn City Complex in Dawn Park on 24 October.
The chairs run first come, first served, the way they always have. What is new is that you can take your place in the queue from your phone and watch it move, instead of sitting here waiting for it.

The man behind the chair
From a garage in Port Elizabeth to the East Rand
Nathi started cutting in a garage in Port Elizabeth. Ten clients a day, one pair of clippers, and a rule that nobody leaves the chair until the line is right.
Today the shop puts through forty clients a day in Bardene, with a team of five barbers behind him. Same rule. Same hands. Just a lot more chairs.
Ten a day in a garage. Forty a day in Boksburg. The standard never moved, only the numbers did.
The restless part is what got him here. Prices published up front, when most shops in Boksburg still make you ask at the counter. A VIP chair for the man who cannot spend a Saturday waiting. A barber who will drive out to your house. The whole team in branded hoodies. A coffee bar going into the new Springs shop, because a barbershop should be somewhere you actually want to sit. And two more shops opening this year, both in brand new malls.

Saturday mornings and late afternoons are the busiest. If you are coming a long way, message the shop first and we will tell you what the wait looks like.

House call,
One flat fee for the barber to come to you. Petrol, travel both ways and the barber's time are all in it. The cut itself is on top, at the same price as in the shop.
House calls are paid by EFT before the barber travels. We send you the banking details when we confirm, and the barber leaves once your proof of payment is in.
Pick the time that suits you. The shop confirms on WhatsApp, and the chair is held once you get that confirmation back.

Packages and vouchers
Pay once, cut for months
Packages are loaded against your mobile number and we count the cuts down for you. Vouchers come as a printed certificate, valid twelve months, and they do not have to be spent all at once.
